Well, we've officially been back in Utah for three days and man it's miserable. I miss being in California where you don't have to wear shoes when walking outside or a jacket, or gloves for that matter. However it has been nice to be home in our own place and get back to eating healthier. I think Bruce and I both gained a good 10lbs over the Christmas brake.
So while I was home in Cali I was surfing KSL still trying to find some chairs for our awesome table and actually found some. They were exactly what I was looking for and at a reasonable price. To make it all even better (if it can possible get any better) he had eight! Now I'm not saying I wanted eight chairs but chances were he still had at least four left. YAY, I text him right away so I could come by and look at them. The Monday I was home I went and feel in love with them! I even talked him down 20.00! They were 15.00 each and got them for 10.00! They are only about a year old and were bought from Pier One Imports. I'm so impressed with myself, they look so good with the table. I'm telling you if you want something nice but are too poor to buy the full price version, KSL or Craigs List has so many things that improve the over all look of your home for WAY cheap the catch, you have to be patient.
I made this with Laurel when we went to visit a while ago and I've finally got around to putting it up on the wall.
I also needed a new center piece for our table since our Christmas one got put away. I used this vase we got from our wedding, an old candle and a bag of shells I got from a friend in California to make this beauty.
Our entire table cost 40.00! I love great deals!
My next project will be to make a head board for our bed. I found this awesome blog (can't remember the link, I'll find it and post it later) that showed how to make one for super cheap.
Oh, and I need to say thank you to
Laurel who gave me this.
This is the little ditty that goes with it:
These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.
I'm touched! It's great knowing someone likes my blog enough for me to want to keep it updated as much as possible. =) Thanks so much Laurel.
Ok so these are some blogs I'm giving this sweet prize to. I give it to these blogs because I feel uplifted and inspired every time I read them.
